Voucher Attribution (for Publishers)

Voucher Attribution is a new tracking method that enables cookie-less tracking by being able to track sales on just a voucher code alone.

This guide includes information about the Voucher Attribution Tool built at Awin to support the collaboration between advertisers and publishers.

How does it work?

Advertisers can create and give out Voucher Attribution enabled codes to publishers of their choosing. You can then use that code to drive sales in places such as social media sites or even offline. When a sale is made on an advertiser's site using that voucher code, we can attribute that sale back to you.

Attribution

Sales tracked via Voucher Attribution will always be awarded to the exclusive publisher that "owns" the code. this means that if a voucher code has been picked up by another publisher and drive sales with it, the commission will still be awarded to the original publisher.

Tracking Requirements

Voucher attribution tracking is handled on the advertiser’s side, therefore you do not need to change your existing integration set-up.

How to set up Voucher Attribution

You can view all vouchers and filter by exclusive vouchers within the "My Offers" page.

To get there, go to Toolbox > Promotional > My Offers in the navigation bar of the UI.

From there, you can export all vouchers to a CSV or excel format spreadsheet by hovering over "Options" on the right-hand side of the page and selecting the format you want.

Alternatively, you can also manually export this data by clicking the "Manual Download URL" link provided near the top of the page.

Reporting

You can see reporting for voucher-tracked transactions within Awin’s existing reports.

Transactions Export

Publishers can see if a voucher code was used on a transaction within the transaction exports under the “voucher_code_used” column. However, some voucher codes are tracked via cookies, so not all voucher code transactions are tracked using Voucher Attribution.
