Top Publishers Comparison Report

Overview

The Top Publishers Comparison Report is a report template that uses data from the Publisher Performance Report, and offers the following insights:

  • Performance visualisations for the top ten publishers on your programme
  • Identification of any shift in publisher types
  • Measurement of campaign performance for specific publishers
  • Comparative weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly performance
  • Overall trends, and growth or decline, of publishers on your programme

Generating the Top Publishers Comparison Report template

To generate the Top Publishers Comparison Report template, log in to the Awin UI, then select Reports > Publisher. At the top left of the Publisher Performance Report, under Report Type, click Top Publishers Comparison, then click Generate Report.

Note: By default, the report shows information for the last week, sorted by the highest number of transactions.

Setting the date range

To compare data for predefined periods or specific date ranges, configure the Period settings. The following table provides details for the available date ranges:

A custom date range based on the calendar selections.

Today

The current calendar date, up to the time you generate the report.

Last 7 days

The previous 7 days, not including today.

Yesterday

The previous calendar date.

Previous Week

Monday to Sunday (inclusive) of the previous calendar week.

Last 28 days

The previous 28 days (not including today).

Previous Month

The first day to last day of the previous calendar month.

Previous Quarter

The first day to last day of the previous three calendar months.

Previous Year

The first day to last day of the previous calendar year.


To set the date range for the report:

  1. Access the Top Publishers Comparison Report template.
  2. Do one of the following:
    • To compare data for predefined periods, from the Compare list, select a predefined comparison period. The data for This Period and Last Period updates automatically.
    • To compare data for specific date ranges, for This Period, use the calendar to define the first current custom date range, then click Apply. Then, for Last Period, use the calendar to define the second past custom date range, then click Apply.
  3. Click Generate Report. For the date range that you select, the KPI boxes show the percentage change for clicks, transactions, revenue, and commission. The mini bar chart highlights the data for this period.

Configuring the report chart

After you set the date range, you can select the chart type for the report. On the right side of the page, above the chart, click the Bar Chart icon () or the Column Chart icon ().

Tip: To view a specific performance metric in the report chart, locate the desired metric in the report table, and click the corresponding column header. The chart updates automatically.

Note: The bar chart and column chart represent the top ten publishers that meet your selection and filtering criteria. The secondary pie chart represents all active publishers in your selection. By default, the chart shows weekly transaction data for the top 10 publishers on your programme, in descending order.

Comparing publisher performance by transaction status

To compare publisher performance by transaction status, configure the Publisher Performance Report.

  1. To access the Publisher Performance Report, log in to the Awin UI, then select Reports > Publisher.
  2. At the top of the page, from the Transaction Status dropdown menu, select the statuses you want to include in the report.
  3. To update the report with the selected filters, click Generate Report.

Tip: You can filter by more than one transaction status. To expand the column group to show the individual transaction status columns, in the report table, for Transactions, click the expand arrow.


Note: The transaction status breakdown is available only for the following grouped columns:

  • Transactions
  • Revenue
  • Commission
  • AOV
