Email Campaign Approvals
Overview
The Email Campaign Approvals tool enables you to review email campaigns that mention your brand before they are sent by your publishers. Once a publisher submits their mailing for your approval, you can approve, request changes, or reject the email campaign.
PLEASE NOTE
It is mandatory for publishers based in the Benelux region or those looking to address audiences in those regions to seek approval from the relevant advertisers before sending email communications.
How to Access
To access the tool go to the Toolbox menu and under Promotional select Email Campaign Approvals.
Managing Campaign Approvals
You will be notified via email whenever there is new email campaign that is waiting for your approval. The Email Campaign Approvals page also lists all existing email campaign approval requests sent through to you by your publishers. You can sort them by Last Updated or Scheduled Send Date, and apply any filters you wish to manage the list.
PLEASE NOTE
- Publishers can only seek your approval if they are a member of your programme.
- Publishers cannot request same-day approvals.
- Publishers can withdraw their approval requests at any stage during the process.
- You have the discretion to decline approval requests.
- You will be notified via email of all correspondence.
Reviewing an Email Campaign
All requests with the status Awaiting Approval are ready for you to review.
- Click the magnifying glass icon to the right of the request you want to review.
- Review the email in the preview pane.
- Review the email details.
- You now have the option to approve, request changes, or reject the email campaign.
Approving an Email Campaign
- Click the magnifying glass icon to the right of the request you want to review.
- Review the email in the preview pane.
- Review the email details.
- Add an optional comment into the Message to Publisher text field.
- Click Approve.
- The status of the request will update to Approved, and the publisher will be notified via email with a link to their request which will have an updated status of Approved.
Requesting Changes
- Click the magnifying glass icon to the right of the request you want to review.
- Review the email in the preview pane.
- Review the email details.
- Add your change requests into the Message to Publisher text field.
- Click Request Changes. The status of the email will update to Changes Requested, and the publisher will be notified via email with a link to their request which will have an updated status of Changes Requested.
Rejecting an Email Campaign
- Click the magnifying glass icon to the right of the request you want to review.
- Review the email in the preview pane.
- Review the email details.
- Add an optional comment into the Message to Publisher text field.
- Click Reject.
- The status of the email will update to Rejected, and the publisher will be notified via email with a link to their request which will have an updated status of Rejected.
The Approvals Process
An example of an-end-to-end process of a successful campaign approval would be as follows:

Request Statuses
Requests can have one of six statuses:
Status | Description | Advertiser Actions |
Awaiting Approval | A request has been submitted to you for review. | Review the email campaign and either approve, reject, or request changes to the campaign. |
Approved | You have approved the intended email. | You don't need to do anything else. |
Changes Requested | You have reviewed the email campaign and have indicated some changes need to be made. | Wait for a response from the publisher. |
Rejected | The publisher is notified that you have not accepted the proposal for that campaign. | You don't need to do anything else. |
Expired | You did not review the email by the scheduled send date. The publisher does not have permission to send the email. | You don't need to do anything else. |
Withdrawn | The publisher withdrew the request. | You don't need to do anything else. |
