Consent Frameworks for Publishers
As a Publisher, it is your responsibility to obtain cookie consent for Awin's tracking and inform us of that consent.
To do this you'll need to add a parameter to your affiliate links. We support two different sets of parameters:
- Consent Signals Framework (by Awin)
- IAB Transparency and Consent Framework
The visitor's consent status is only used for that specific journey. Each new journey should include the consumer's latest consent preference.
Disclaimer:
If you're not making use of the consent parameters then we assume you've obtained cookie consent from the website visitor as per the 'Standard Terms for Publishers' for any traffic sent to us.
If you indicate that we don't have consent from the website visitor, we don't set a cookie and we don't transfer a click identifier to the advertiser's landing page when redirected.
Using the Awin Consent Signals Framework for Publishers
In the click (or post view) URLs, you can use the query parameter '&cons=' to let us know which of your website visitors have given their consent to the use of cookies, so we know who we can track.

| 1 | Cookie consent given by the website visitor |
| 0 | Cookie consent rejected by the website visitor |
| Not available (default) | Cookie consent given by the website visitor |

Using the IAB Transparency & Consent Framework
To inform Awin of consent status, you must add the TCF parameters "gdpr" and "gdpr_consent" to your Awin affiliate links.
We will then check the link to ensure that we have the legal basis to track and attribute the consumer's journey.
