Monotote - Shopping Cart Technologies

The Monotote Technology allows you to easily create seamless shopping experiences for your website visitors, by allowing them to directly purchase showcased products from pictures and videos without leaving your website.

How it works?

Monotote offers an easy-to-use, plug and play technology. Once enabled, it immediately connects to all participating advertisers on the Awin network.

When users on your website hover over or click shoppable products, the Unified Cart can be used to complete the shopping experience. The Unified Cart completes the transaction through a single checkout procedure. In doing so, it automatically places corresponding orders on websites of third party retailer owners and retailers using “Checkout Engines” that are customised to operate with the retailers’ websites. As a result of the automatic order placement on a retailer’s website, the retailer charges the user’s credit card and fulfills the order.

You must be approved by each retailer before the products they offer may be purchased through the Shopping Cart Technology System.

How do I enable it?

By switching on the Monotote - Shopping Cart Technologies plug-in, you will automatically have an account created with Monotote so they can connect you with the technology. Visit their Terms and Conditions for details and view their Privacy Policy.

Once you enable Monotote - Shopping Cart Technologies, please allow up to 3 hours for it to be activated on your site, before testing.

How do I test it's working?

Users can test the Monotote plug-in as follows:

1) In the Monotote dashboard, click Test shopping cart on the "install page" (https://dashboard.monotote.com/include-code).

2) If the Monotote plug-in is installed correctly, it will open displaying a green check.

3) If the Monotote plug-in is not installed correctly, no message will be displayed. You can contact support by clicking the chat icon in the bottom right-hand corner of the Monotote dashboard.
